The past few days have been filled with remarkable achievements for Boland College, as our students excelled in various events across the Western Cape. Our students proudly represented the College at the COSACSA Regional Ball Games in Mossel Bay, the Alan Gray Makers Regional Entrepreneurship Competition, and the TVET Month Launch in Kimberley.
At the Entrepreneurship Competition, our contestants delivered flawless business pitches, showcasing their innovation and determination. Although they were just pipped to the post, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners from the College of Cape Town and False Bay College as well as the runners-up from South Cape- and West Coast College. We are proud of their success and will support them as they represent the Western Cape in the upcoming National Competition.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. H. Adams and Ms. L. Grobler for their unwavering dedication to the Entrepreneurship Programme, both on campus and through their mentorship of the contestants. Their guidance ensured that our students were at their best. We also wish to express our gratitude to Mr. Adams for taking the time to travel to Kimberley with our contestants and providing crucial support during the event.
Our sports teams also made us proud in Mossel Bay, competing fiercely and bringing home medals. Boland College secured a bronze medal in Female Netball, a bronze in Female Rugby, and a silver in Male Rugby. We are particularly grateful to Ms. Jacobs, Ms. Lourens, and the three coaches who accompanied the sports team to Mossel Bay. Your time, dedication, and care for our students, especially in managing such a large group, are deeply appreciated.
We eagerly await the national team selections and are confident that some of our talented students will represent the Western Cape on the national stage.
We are incredibly proud of all our students, both on and off the field. They truly showed up, gave their all, and made Boland College proud!
