Your investment towards your future career is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. In the past, Technical and Vocational Education and Training was not always affordable to all. However, with the financial options that are available today studying has become accessible to everyone.
The aim of this section of the website is to illustrate the various options that are available to you to assist in financing your studies and to demonstrate just how manageable it is to pay your studies.

NSFAS Applications for the 2023 Academic year are open from 28 September 2022
till 31 January 2023.
All funded NSFAS students are requested to update their information online. Please log onto www.nsfas.org.za and create the MyNSFAS account to verify your details.
Boland College assists students to apply for any available external funding if they qualify. These funders are normally the various SETAs in South Africa.
Students are advised to regularly visit their Financial Aid Office on campus for more information relating to external funding availability.
Documentation checklist
To apply you will need:
- Copy of your ID/Birth certificate
- Copy of your parent/s or guardian/spouse ID
- If you have a Smart card, both sides of card required
- Proof of income (where applicable)
- Persons living with disability should complete the Disability Annexure A form, this is available on the NSFAS website
- If you are recognised as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development, you must provide a completed Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker
- If you indicated that you don’t have certain family member details and or abridged birth certificate you must complete the Declaration: Non-SASSA
The NSFAS online application system will generate a list of required documents for upload based on your application. In order for your application to be processed, please ensure that you complete all sections of the online application form and attach all supporting documents as required by NSFAS.

Students apply online and directly to NSFAS. All successfully funded students by NSFAS are required to submit their application for allowances (Private Accommodation, Transportation and Living allowance) to their respective Financial Aid Offices on campus.
