MODERATOR: OCCUPATIONAL WELDER PROGRAMME

Requirements

  1. A qualified Welder with red seal (Trade Test)
  2. Registered as an Assessor and Moderator with CHIETA/MERSETA/QCTO
  3. TVET sector experience
  4. Must be able to Moderate Occupational Certificate: Welder Knowledge, Practical and Workplace Modules
  5. Minimum 2 years’ Moderation experience
  6. Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  1. Moderation of the Occupational Certificate: Welder and/or Coded Welding
  2. Ensuring compliance with Boland College moderation policy and QCTO requirements.
  3. Preparation of files for external moderation (verification)
  4. Provide detailed feedback to assessors and recommend areas for improvement
  5. Compile comprehensive moderation reports for submission to the relevant SETA and QCTO
  6. Assist with monitoring the student’s logbooks in line with QCTO requirements

Recommendations

  1. Knowledge and experience of the Occupational Programme will be an added advantage
  2. QCTO moderation experience will be an added advantage
  3. Computer literacy in MS Office
