Requirements
1. At least a minimum NQF level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD), Educare, Occupational Therapy, Remedial Teaching
2. Knowledge of Early Childhood Development (ECD) Sector
3. Teaching or facilitation experience relevant to Early Childhood Development (ECD) or Foundation Phase
4. Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
1. Facilitate Knowledge and Practical Modules of the QCTO Occupational Certificate ECD Practitioner
2. Ability to integrate National Curriculum Framework principles into training delivery
3. Provide support to students in Knowledge and Practical aspects of the qualification
4. Set up, monitor and maintain student portfolios
5. Conduct Summative Knowledge Assessments
6. Conduct practical Assessments
7. Conduct an introductory meeting at each workplace
8. Conduct all aspects of assessment (e.g. marking and evaluations)
9. WPBL: Participate in Workplace exposure relevant to the programmes
Recommendations
1. Ability to train National Curriculum Framework (certified)
2. Assessor with ETDP SETA
3. Moderator with ETDP SETA
4. TVET sector teaching experience
5. Workplace/ Industry experience
6. Relevant teaching qualification
