ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP ASSISTANT

Requirements

1. Matric or equivalent NCV Level 4 Electrical Infrastructure & Construction / Electrical Engineering Certificate
2. Computer Literacy (MS Office)
3. Good communication skills (written and verbal)
4. Good administrative skills
5. Good planning and organizing skills
6. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
7. Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

1. Issuing and returning tools, materials, and equipment for teaching as well as practical usage
2. Responsible for cleaning and preparing the workshops for practical assessments
3. Copying and filing documents
4. Control, management of equipment and stock taking of equipment and consumables
5. Willingness to work extra hours when necessary
6. Knowledge of setting up of motor control circuits, Domestic and Industrial Installations
7. Prepare and maintain stock inventory records of equipment and consumables
8. Support students during practical exercises / practice sessions
9. Assist with administrative tasks

Recommendations

1. Occupational Certificate in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
2. Relevant TVET sector experience
3. Knowledge of QCTO qualifications or QCTO experience
4. Workplace/ Industry experience will be an added advantage

R 170 226 per annum plus benefits. Benefits include annual service bonus. Membership of the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is compulsory. Permanent position is subject to 12 months’ probation
