DEBTORS AND FINANCIAL AID OFFICER

Requirements

1. Recognized National Diploma or Equivalent NQF level 6 qualification with Accounting as a subject
2. At least three years’ work experience in a Finance/Financial Aid Department
3. High level of computer literacy (MS Package)
4. Sound knowledge of a financial system (Sage software or similar)
5. Experience of debtors’ processes
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
7. Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  1. Management of Debtors Department
  2. Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements
  3. Assist the Manager with audits, monitoring & reports
  4. Manage the electronic financial system (Coltech / Evolution / C-Link)
  5. Manage Financial Aid transactions
  6. Supervise human, physical, financial and other resources

Recommendations

1. Five years’ experience in Debtors department
2. Five years’ experience in a TVET Finance environment
3. Sound knowledge of the NSFAS Bursary Scheme
4. Multilingualism will be added an advantage

Renumeration

INTERNAL CANDIDATE: Acting Allowance: The acting allowance is calculated on the difference between the employee's present salary notch (without benefits) and the commencing notch (without benefits) of the senior post/acting post on condition that the post is one level higher. EXTERNAL CANDIDATE: Fixed Term contract: R 25 679.50 per month plus 37% in lieu of benefits.
