1. An appropriate Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification at REQV13 and a professional qualification in Education
2. Five years’ working experience in TVET institutional or departmental management
3. A sound understanding of curriculum management, administration and management of programme delivery
4. Sound understanding of prescripts governing the TVET sector, finance management, human resources and labour relations
5. Computer literacy
6. Good communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
7. A valid driver’s license


  1. Develop and implement a campus strategic plan
  2. Creation of an environment conducive to education and training.
  3. Identify programme mix and manage the quality of the implementation of the curriculum and performance of the campus.
  4. Manage the division of work of lecturing staff at the campus, monitor performance of lecturing staff in their specific areas at the campus and build teaching capacity.
  5. Implement an induction programme for all new education and training staff as well as campus induction for all staff.
  6. Provide input for budget purposes to finance department and manage the allocated budget for education and training at the campus.
  7. Manage education and training support programmes and functions to students at the campus.
  8. Plan and implement personal well-being programmes for campus staff.
  9. Manage the implementation of Progressive Disciplinary procedures for campus staff.
  10. Manage the compilation of the education and training timetables of the campus.
  11. Assist with the initiation, management and operationalizing of academic industry linkages and partnerships.
  12. Report on the progress of achieving targets set for education and training processes to the Deputy Principal Education and Training.
  13. Oversee the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety procedures at the campus


A qualification in educational management or management will be an added advantage.

R 599 247.00 per annum plus benefits: A thirteenth cheque and Pension (admission to the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is compulsory).
