Requirements
- Recognized 3-year qualification (NQF level 6) in Information Technology or related qualification
- Three years relevant work experience in an IT environment
- High level of computer literacy (MS Package)
- Sound knowledge of computer hardware, software, and programmes
- Knowledge and understanding of Corporate ICT principles
- Knowledge and understanding of the ICT policies and relevant legislation
- Experience with tender processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and monitor the implementation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) policies
- Information System Management
- Network Management and Maintenance
- ICT software and hardware Maintenance
- Provision of intranet and network services
- Management of all Human, Financial, and other resources of the unit
- Manage the college ICT budget
- Special Technical skills
- Manage Hyper-V servers, manage all aspects of Office 365 including- Exchange Online, Teams, Onedrive, Microsoft Active Directory including – GPO’s, DHCP DNS and Domain controller replication, management of VOIP system including all phones, management of all Wifi networks and management of mail gateway
- Liaise with all ICT vendors
- Manage Cyber security
- Report to counsel sub-committees
- Compile an ICT strategic plan
Recommendations
- Public Sector and/or Higher Education and/or TVET experience
- Multilingualism will be an advantage
