HEAD OFFICE SHOWERS SAFE HOUSE WITH CARE
In lieu of Women’s Day which was in August, Boland College Head Office decided to show its support and care for the Safe House in Stellenbosch. The Safe House is a haven for abused women who have nowhere to go in a time of need and desperation.
Mrs Wendy Adams, Vice-Principal: Innovation and Development, termed it a project and the staff at Head Office was recruited to assist. They were requested to donate products and toiletries that would benefit these women and make their transition a bit easier upon arrival. Staff pitched in immediately and a box full of products and toiletries was collected in a short space of time.
The matron of the centre, Ms Lydia Lakey and the social worker, Ms Edna Nigrini accepted the products on behalf of the Safe House.
A big thank you is extended to each staff member who contributed to this project.
