Boland College (BC) recently once again pulled out all stops to honour its graduates during the prestigious Diploma Ceremony held at Worcester Campus. More than 500 excited graduates and their parents were in attendance and the hall was packed to the rafters.
This annual event is held in high regard by the Boland Community as BC services the entire region and has numerous international students, especially from neighbouring countries. Boland College offers vocational national certificates, as well as post matric national certificates and diplomas in a broad field of disciplines from business and financial management to engineering, social sciences and hospitality, and tourism.
As a Further Education and Training (FET) College, Boland College prides itself in developing individuals who are considerably more prepared for the workforce than the average high school graduate.
In expressing her pride for what the graduates had accomplished, a beaming Ms Corrie Myburgh, BC’s Acting Principal, said: “It is the candidates who successfully completed these programmes whom we honour and doff our caps to today for their hard work, diligence and determination to further their studies.”
One of the day’s highlights included a motivational speech by well-known celebrity guest speaker, Dieter Voigt, a presenter on the lifestyle programme Pasella and a renowned motivational speaker. The ceremony ended with the presentation of the prestigious Top Achiever Awards. We would like to take the opportunity to thank the following sponsors for their generous contributions to the awards : Future Managers, Nashua, Marlene van Schalkwyk Publishers, ITS, Nickey’s Tours, Forms Express, Macmillan Publishers, SAYDBUC and Van Schaik’s.
